Hi all, I'm 30 days smoke free!! Can't believe I've made it to over a month - the longest time in 10 years. NRT has certainly helped me through, but this past week I've been feeling very anxious. A friend suggested I look up the side effects for NRT which I have done and nervousness and anxiety is listed. Was wondering if anyone else has had these side effects. I'm going to switch to regular mints and gum and see how I go but I'm scared of feeling irritated without NRT. Any thoughts from you long timers?
3 weeks 3 days
Over 3 weeks smokefree!!! Saved $200. The last couple of days have been difficult not to smoke but NRT helps. When I think of having 'just one' I realise that what I really need to think is 'Do I want to start smoking again?' cos that's what it will probably lead to. I'm enjoying breathing better and not being a slave to smoking. Even though life is sometimes difficult smoking will not help, so I've turned to sugar for the time being lol. Hope you all enjoy a smoke free day.
I made it through the night.
Was so difficult not to smoke yesterday but managed it. So, thankfully I'm still here too. Thanks for your blogs. Hope you all have a smoke free day.
Been thinking about wanting to smoke A LOT today. Been doing the 4 d's and using the gum more than usual. Just wanna get through today without smoking but it's bloody hard!!!!
Day 13 - It's good to tick off another smoke free day
Had stressful day and can't believe I didn't reach for the cigs. Patches really help me. I find the gum and lozengers disgusting but I still use them if I feel a craving come on.
Stay strong everyone - one day at a time :)
Had flu for first few days of giving up so it wasn't so difficult to not smoke but now I'm over the flu the cravings have come flooding in. Popping out to see friends for an hour. Planning on coming back smoke free. I have my NRT with me!!
