A big hi to all my fellow non-smokers, I haven't posted a blog in ages but I have been keeping really busy (which is always good - but time consuming).
I have been organizing a 10 day trip to Brisbane and the Gold Coast with my youngest to visit with her brother and sister.
EXCITING, EXCITING, EXCITING is all I can get out of her at the moment as it's only five, that's 5, weeks until we go.
I can't believe I can do this with money saved from not smoking! As well as some well-timed part-time work.
Can't wait to get some sand, sun and sea. My brother says the weather is already in the late 20's!
Bye for now and keep positive everyone.
Hi there to all my fellow non-smokers
It has been awhile since I last 'blogged'. I have been keeping very busy, as my dear old grandpop said, with family visiting from Oz and my mum's getting on and not too well herself from the dreaded smoke!
I have had an odd reaction to giving up - at the beginning it seemed hard but not for too long but then it seemed to get easier until about a week ago, that would be week 4 I think, when I really wanted a smoke. Boy was I horrible to everyone for a couple of days. I must make a "sorry" dinner soon.
Bye for now - Keep the Faith
Thanx to ewes all for the great support and encouragement. Still no smoking and I seem to be settling down, face is a mess tho.
Good idea about the fluids, tho I don't know why I didn't think of that as I,m always telling the kids when they get sick to drink fluids to flush the system! Guess it's the short-term memory thing. Although the kids tell me that's old age!! Lucky I've still got my sense of humour.
Hope everyone is enjoying a smokefree weekend.
Bye for now.
The last couple of days have been hell, short-term memory loss, pimples, sweating, sleeplessness and a terrible urge to grind my teeth!
Hopefully this will not last very long and I can look forward to getting better.
Keep up the good work my fellow quitters.
Bye for now.
Good Morning my fellow Quitters
Well, today is my 4th day and I'm surprised and delighted that I'm still smokefree. After having the real bad jitters last night I thought that I might have given in to the urge.....BUT NO, I DID NOT GIVE IN. YAYYAYAYAYAYA
Is there someone out there that can tell me anything about the 'Electric Smoke?' Was on the ferry down South & I think that was what I saw someone smoking but not sure!!! Any ideas would be great, thanx.
Good luck everybody & stay positive for another day.
Morning all fellow quitters,
Have got to day 4 but nearly gave in last night and I don't really know why? My granddad told me he had to find things to keep his hands busy so that he wouldn't smoke. So it might be time to drag out the jigsaw puzzles, sort out the photo albums and do a general spring clean, in winter! If it helps me I'll let you all know. Maybe I should start a quit smoking jigsaw day!
That's all for now folks, good luck to you all and keep those smokes away.
My 3rd Day
I chose to quit smoking on 06/07/2012 as it is the date of my eldest daughters birthday and I was told to pick an auspicious day and this was the next date.
I am planning to take my youngest daughter to visit her brother and sister in Oz in October, so thought it about time to do something about quitting.
I am using Champix and finding it ok at the moment although at the beginning it was giving me terrible headaches so a friend told me to have a half each night and morning. That seems to work for me anyway.
Can anybody tell me how much the electric cigarettes are? please.
