500 days smokefree
The moneys in the bank. And a first ever tropical holiday next year is on the cards.
I have been thrown some major curve balls over the last 500 days but all thats done is challenged my strength and sheer bloody determination to never go back to that way of life again.
I always thought if I lived beyond 40 it would be a miracle because of my self indulgent lifestyle. But here I am, fitter than ever and mentally changing for the better daily.
For you new comers to quitting do what ever it takes to keep yourself strong and you may need to stay away from all influences. I believe stopping drinking alcohol made this journey much easier.
To the old timers, Julz and Rainbowfish who have been there since the beginning, I hope your both doing great and Thank You. There are so many others that have commented on my posts and given me encouragement. I Thank You ALL as well xx :) :) N.O.P.E!!!!!!!

I have been thinking all day of something profound I could say today but I'm sort of at a loss.
It truly is wonderful to be smoke free after nearly 30 years of being addicted to nicotine.
Amazing things have happened from doing this and icky challenges have only strengthened my resolve to stay free from the habit.
One day at a time and N.O.P.E
Thanks to everyone on here who without them in the 1st 2 months I may not have posted this today. (Big Ta to Rainbowfish and Julz xx)
Trying times got worse....
I would first like to thank everybody for their support and helpful kind words yesterday. You have no idea how much that meant to me xx
Today tho I found out that the person that is supplying the pot and is also getting him to sell it at school is his dad. I really am at a loss, astounded beyond belief that he could do this to his own son. Shows how low his (his dads) values are now with his addictions.
I have, because right now I see it as my only option, reported all this to legal authorities.
The wheels have been set in motion and I have no idea how this will work out.
If I do nothing, nothing will change....
Still smoke free and once again whoever this angel is who is giving me the strength, bless you!
I discovered this week that my normally calm, quiet, caring, beautiful 15 y/o son has been smoking pot. We have never had angry words but over this we had the biggest fight. He walked out and I told him he wasn't allowed back till he apologised. It was horrid and my heart is broken.
I have been alcohol free for 16mths after battling the booze all my life and coming up 11 mths smoke free after that addiction for 30 years.
My boy also has an alcoholic father (where he's has run off to)
You would think that after the last day or two I would have crumbled and trust me the thought of drinking and smoking has crossed my mind, But that's all it's been. A thought.
I hope that this strength that I have been blessed to find, my son also finds.
If any of you have any words of wisdom feel free to comment.
Take care all xx

Pretty stoked with this. Love the freedom I have not smoking. It's one less pressure in life. More money, no hacking cough, constant negative thoughts about bad health, Can go and do anything and not be limited by stopping to smoke. It's all good!
