I made it! One whole year smokefree and I am so proud of myself. My friend took me out for a MASSIVE shopping spree yesterday, nearly $700 was spent across 8 shops haha so I'll consider that my reward, and I went to see my brother's christmas show this morning which was a lot of fun too :)
Other than that, I have a new guy :D and I'm moving house in a week, so guna be pretty busy I guess.

My partner broke up with me yesterday. Two and a half years with him, down the drain. I'm doing okay though, I called my sister, went to see my brother and had a friend stay the night with me. Going to see my other brother after work today, then will go from there. I have to say the worst thing will probably be that I lose my kitten :( we decided when we got her that the dog is mine (cause I already had her before we met) but the cat is his. She is still here for now but he will be back in a few days to come and get her :(
I don't feel like smoking, mostly because I have a very sore throat from either tonsilitis or glandular fever (still waiting for blood test results) but I won't smoke, even when I get better.

Soooo close to my breathday! I've been thinking about what brought me to quit, and it seems silly. I wanted to quit for 6 weeks while my parents were staying with us and while I was visiting my sister because none of them knew I still smoked and I didn't want them to know. As soon as February rolled over this year I was going to take it back up again. But when I got there I thought why don't I see if I can do a few more weeks, then eventually I fell into the realisation that I don't need to smoke. I have to say I think one of my winning strategies this time was my little kitten we got about a week after I quit. I called her a reward, but we probably would have gotten her anyway. Not that she encouraged me not to smoke or anything, but having her was one of the things that made me the most happy, and it still is, and we smoke cause we think it makes us happy, but the more things you can find that make you happy, the less you feel the need to smoke.
I had icecream on the beach with my partner yesterday :) It sounds so simple, but it's so sweet, after we have been together and living together for so long and we don't really go out much together anymore except for shopping haha so it was really sweet :) and we might go out for dinner next week for no particular reason :D
Also, I have been pestering my work to give me more hours over the holidays, I always cover people who want the day off so I usually have extra work, but I wanted regular hours because I won't have my student allowance to rely on. And they have finally given them to me! 4 days a week up from 2 starting next week :D
Sorry for the rambly blog, I'm just feeling soppy haha and grateful for everything that I have
I was doing a crossword in my break at work today and the theme of it was smoking. So it had clues like 'something all smokers should do right away' and the answer was 'quit' haha. It made me realise how long it's been since I actually thought about smoking at all, and even longer since I had a craving. Sometimes when I'm short on money I think 'thank god I don't smoke or I'd have no money at all now' but that's really the only time I think about it anymore.

Been suffering with laryngitis for the last week. Have two singing tests and a presentation to do over the next two days so hopefully I'm okay for that.
