A great day!
Feeling much better about things today. My throat is still sore (like a smoker's throat) and my lungs feel a bit heavy, but I can live with that. Thank you all for your comments on my blog yesterday. I guess that I was just disappointed because I discovered how still very reliant I am on nicotine. I felt strong enough to go without patches but once I didn't have them, I certainly noticed the difference. So I have 4 weeks supply of Step 2 patches which will take me up to my 10 week mark. This quitting lark is certainly a marathon, but I'm pretty sure I have the stamina to last the distance.
After having an extra kid in the house for a sleepover last night, I now have the day to myself, kid-free (thank goodness for grandparents!). Went shopping this morning and brought myself a bottle of perfume and got some sushi for lunch to reward myself for my 6 week milestone. It's going to be a great day:)
