New bee to quitline
My second attempt at giving up the nicotine. Gave up from 2008 for over 2 years. I smoked for 31 years before then. Had 'just one puff' sometime in 2010. Remained fully addicted again for over 1 year, and now I am battling the addiction again. I have now been smokefree for 81 days and am finding it much harder than the 1st time i gave up. I'm glad my partner is also rowing the same waka as me, he was a smoker for over 40 years and he is now 83 days off the cigz. I was using chewing gum everyday, but have cut that back to maybe one every week. I still have those horrible craves, but the good thing is I KNOW they do pass within maybe 5-8 maybe 10 minutes. My kids are fully grown and have children of their own. I am also a teacher. While it's true that I am doing this for myself I am also doing it for my grandchildren and my students
