Hi everyone. It has been such a long time since I wrote a blog and now I'm not sure what to say! Such a change from the early days when I was blogging daily and using the messages from others to keep going with my own journey. Wherever you are with your quit, keep up the hard work. This is so different for all of us, but we can help each other through as we face our own challenges. Cheers, and thank you.

Two years today ... thank you all for the support, encouragement and laughs through this time. I have gone from knowing how long I have been quit down to the minute in the early days to only realizing it was two years when I logged on today. I still have no idea where the savings are, possibly on my waist instead of my lungs but it's all good. All the best to you all and no matter what stage you are at (starting out, or further down the road) we are all doing it with the support of this site and each other. Cheers and thank you again :o)

Made it over the $10000 mark ... and I still have no idea where the money has gone! Mostly on my waist I suppose but at least it's not in my lungs. Thanks so much to all on the blogs, I am so grateful for all the support that is offered here. I did everything wrong really, didn't read my Allan Carr book, didn't use the NRT, didn't throw my cigs out (in fact my last packet is still there motivating me to never start again) but I got one thing right. I used the blogs and managed to get smokefree. All the best to everyone, and keep it up. We can do this.
Hi all, great to see so many people joining the blogs and it's always so wonderful to see people succeeding at all the different stages of their quit. 500 days smokefree here, 12500 smokes unsmoked and $8500 not spent on cigs. I still have no idea where the money is, as it's definitely not in my bank! I never got the 'manic cleaning' side effect of quitting, I only got the wind farm and the fag fog, but none the less I am pleased. A difficult thing to do, but through it all we keep going and supporting each other. Keep it up everyone and we are getting there.
It's been a year ... I am a truly happy cold turkey. 365 days smokefree, 9125 smokes unsmoked, and $6059 not spent on cigs (but spent on toffees, dried mangoes, god knows what but definitely not in my bank). It is so great to see so many people using this site, and supporting each other in this common goal. Hi to all the 'oldies' who were so great to me throughout, and hi to all the new people who have started their quit. All the best, thank you, and stay strong :-)
Nearly a year
Hi everyone, it has been a long time since my last blog, but it seemed a good time to check back in. I have been following your stories, and keep reading the blog regularly to help keep my focus, and it helps so much. I am nearly at the one year mark, and at the start of this crazy ride I could only think in terms of the next 5 minutes! 8750 ciggies not smoked, and $5810 not gone up in smoke (I have no idea where it has gone, but at least I didn't smoke it!) This time of the year is always busy and I seem to have a lot of smokers around at bbqs etc, but at least it is getting easier to be around them. All the best to you all, and no matter where you are on your quit you have done the great thing and made the choice. Stay strong and keep up the great work ... it is a hard thing but the rewards are huge. :o)
200 days for a cold turkey :)
Thank you everyone for your help!
200 days smokefree, 5000 cigarettes not smoked, $3320 not spent on ciggies, 0 slips.
Thank you so much :) I couldn't have done it alone.
Happy travels Clarence
Hi everyone, I just came on to wish Clarence a happy trip and safe journey. I hope you have a fantastic time.
I haven't posted a blog for quite a while, but I still try to check in every so often. It is great to see so many new people joining the quit family, and doing so well. All the best.
145 days smokefree, 3,625 ciggies unsmoked, $2,407.00 saved. I had to look these stats up on my homepage, I remember in the early days counting every minute!
Hi all, hope everyone is having a great holidy. 100 days for me today and I am pretty happy about it. 2500 smokes unsmoked, $1660 not spent on fags (but spent on something) and 0 slips. I had a huge family do last weekend, and I was sent by relatives to get them fags ... it felt odd buying them! It was ok to be around smokers too ... I had been worried about that (I have to admit smoke still smells good to me though). Thanks to everyone for the help and support, and now for the next 100. Take care, and stay strong.
