Nearly TWO years
702 days, nearly 2 years, omg I cant believe it, its amazing, over $7000 hasnt gone up in smoke. Love that feeling of NOT needing to leave the wedding/funeral/21st to go outside and have a smoke, that is truly the best thing about not smoking for me. Be determined all you fellow quitters, that determination will get you to that light at the end of the tunnel!
Woohoo - 553
553 smokefree days today
16590 cigarettes not smoked!!
Just got a new job at Waikato Hospital and you are not allowed to smoke anywhere on hospital grounds, not even at the shops across the road. I would not have been able to cope with this as a smoker and would probably have got into trouble!!!!!!! As I dont smoke now its not a problem. Good luck to everyone just starting out and to those having a rough day - hang in there, you will get through the tough bits and we will see you on the other side :)
Smokefree days: 448
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 13440
Grams NOT smoked: 4480
Total savings: $4480.00 (old price!!)
Feeling pretty happy re the above - now gotta deal with the weight gain but this will be easier to do now Im not constantly thinking about smokes! This will be the best year ever!
365 days today!!! At the beginning I never thought I would get through the first week, and here I am one year later - a bit chubbier admittedly, but also way richer (30 plus smokes a day is expensive) and with much happier lungs (I have always pictured them with little faces smiling up at me lol). If you are struggling (and I did mightily in that first 3 months or so) just remember why you stopped in the first place, how awful those first days of quitting are (no-one wants to do that again) and hang on to that determination that set you off on this path originally. ODAAT really truly works :)
341 days today
10230 ciggies not smoked!!
Not bad at all :)
What a nice surprise
to come and have a check to see how everyone is doing and find I have been 305 days smoke free, thats amazing!! Have to admit to still having fleeting smoking thoughts (and a recent dream about smoking occasionally!) but otherwise Im not bothered any more. Had my first "proper" night out last night since quitting, had drinks, sat with smokers, felt fine, Phew. Keep up the good fight - it will be worth it in the end :-)
269 days no smoking today, not a puff. Just back from spending 10 days in Melbourne with my daughter - I could never have afforded to go if I was still puffing away, and the trip would have been stressful as my girl is in the health profession (physio) and hated me smoking so we were always arguing about it. Was nice being able to spend all day in shops, art galleries and cafes without needing to duck outside. That said, there are heaps of people in Melbourne still smoking, apparently its still "quite cool" there!! Have a great smokefree weekend everyone, and GO THE CHIEFS :)
not smoked today - thats 231 days smokefree, not even a puff - hardest thing Ive had to do but doing it anyway :)
congrats to me
200 days today. There have been tears and tantrums, good days and bad days, yelling, cursing, moping, early nights and earlier mornings...but here I am! Hoping the next 200 arent quite as challenging, but feel that Im beating the emotional battle slowly but surely. Hope you are all having a great weekend :)
For me its nearly 2hundy
Yes, 198 days today. Im feeling a lot more positive about things now than I did at day 175 - its amazing what a difference a few weeks can make. I think about smoking less and less, and the thoughts are only fleeting, not intense at all. Good luck to everyone starting out - set small achievable goals for yourself and those first few weeks will fly by before you no it :)
