Quit Blogs

Star in Quitline's new ads

Hi bloggers

We're looking for people who have quit smoking with the help of Quitline to take part in our new advertising campaign.

We're looking for all different kinds of people. Shooting will take place in early March in the Wellington region so it would be ideal (but not essential!) if you were living in the area.

To register your interest, please email Sarah Woods: sarahw@quit.org.nz
It would be very helpful if you could include some information about yourself and your quitting journey.

Many thanks!

all's well that ends well

as this day nears an end it ends much better than it began, the dog has been put to rest my partners coping with his sadness well, i had a smoke at 12:45pm and had a thought i would be smoking for the rest of the day but thanx to you all and you tube i had an "ah huh" moment and it feels at the moment that nicodemon can try anything it likes is never gunna replace the image i seen today in my own head i sore my son standing over me watching me die slowly and painfully of cancer i have never seen cancer before and to say it wasn't pretty is a gross understatement. the hand that dealt me the card played it at the perfect time so we have had a lazy family aftanoon i was getting a little craving and a bit hungry so i fulled up my water bottle put a lozenge in my mouth and went for a 35 minute drive by myself to get us pizza for dinner now im gunna feed my baby and go to bed perfect

Awww Lisa - sorry about you having to put your dog down, but as you said before, it may have been only a matter of time before he attacked a person and you'd have never forgiven yourself for that. Thinking of you and your family.

I hope that the YouTube video ("Thanks Tobacco You Killed My Mom") is stuck in your head ....it puts a whole new perspective on smoking doesn't it? I also hope that you've found the other videos I found on YouTube helpful. There is a really interesting documentary I've added to my page called "Death in the West"....well worth watching. For others who have not yet had a chance to take a look at the YouTube page I created, hop on over and take a look:- http://www.youtube.com/user/SmokefreeNewZealand - I add new videos as I find them...I don't go for gory videos as they never 'worked' for me. See what you think.

As Tiggie said...tomorrow is another day.....a day to be more determined and pig headed without excuses - you WILL succeed Lisa. ☺
