Wow I feel for you!! Lyttelton really copped it this morning - I'm just over the hill (or is it my age?!?! lol) in Spreydon/Somerfield and so we're almost neighbours. In fact all of us in Christchurch are neighbours and are doing out best to pull together. Well done to Orion!!! Really working well in this testing time. We were out of power for a bit but it could have been longer!!! Time to plan - 1. get wood for the ark........

Yeap everyone is pulling together so well, its just awesome. If we get another big one I will definitly be volunteering my help, there are probably some terrified people out there. I live in Burwood, and work in Heathcote Valley (the centre of the quake was situated at the end of my road at work LOL) but to be honest, I am lucky, my house is on the corner of a street, there are about 6 of us untouched...yet 20metres in any direction the roads are up, the power poles lying down, its crazy how it misses some people's places...I am thankful...a lot of people dont have a bed to sleep in at the moment.
Thanks to Pukeko and everyone for your kind words, I felt extremely guilty about coming on here being an aweful smoker again, but I do want to quit forever and so I will just get through this and then I will be right back on that wagon I promise.
Debz do not feel guilty at alll....my tears fall coz this is real...this is life ...& I feel like a part of a very special family....you guys are awesome people even though we have never met....this is a special time where you actually count even more .....team effort guys ..team effort xx
