Quit Blogs

Star in Quitline's new ads

Hi bloggers

We're looking for people who have quit smoking with the help of Quitline to take part in our new advertising campaign.

We're looking for all different kinds of people. Shooting will take place in early March in the Wellington region so it would be ideal (but not essential!) if you were living in the area.

To register your interest, please email Sarah Woods: sarahw@quit.org.nz
It would be very helpful if you could include some information about yourself and your quitting journey.

Many thanks!

Personal Journey

Giving up smoking has to be one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life......
You guys down in Chch...this has to be even harder for you all I want to say ...
"How/Who can judge you on smoking whether you are ...or...whether you are not" at this time
As I said we cannot judge you ...but we can be here for each of you because each of you are special & each of you are still here.
This is a journey & sometimes an "fn" hard one...so remember personal journey for each of us & we all have our reasons for doing what we are doing...you are all special in my journey of giving up because without you all I would have been smoking again .
This is ..we are... the quitline family and this is what famillies do ...we look after each other so keep going guys ....coz this is one hell of a journey...team effort...there is no i in team xx
ONE DAY AT A TIME xx

Yes Pukeko well said. This is a hard journey, it is nice to have the support of all you guys. I think I would have started smoking again if it wasn`t for people like you and everyone else on quitline. You are so right, one day at a time.
