Senior Advisor Business Process and Policies

The Quit Group is an Incorporated Charitable Trust that is part of a broader sector working to reduce smoking rates in New Zealand. The Quit Group is committed to being the national leader in providing a suite of smoking cessation related activities and services. We are seeking an experienced business process and policies person to assist us to achieve our goals.

The Position
Reporting to Manager Market Research and Communications the Senior Advisor Business Process and Policies is responsible for developing and maintaining best practice operational policies and procedures for Quit programmes for Service Assessment and Registration teams. In particular the incumbent will:

  • Review and develop policies based on service evaluations and other market research.
  • Support training to implement improved practice
  • Maintain knowledge of international best practice in cessation support

The Person
Ideally candidates for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A high level of understanding of and capability in developing operational policy, procedures and processes.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organisation and computer skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience of and ability to work in a cross cultural environment.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.

The Quit Group is seeking people with outstanding communication skills. Successful applicants will have the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and to provide them with support for quitting smoking. You will be doing this mainly by phone, through texting and on line methods.

The Quit Group is a charitable trust committed to reducing smoking rates for all New Zealanders. Reducing smoking amongst Māori is one of our priorities and therefore an understanding of Tikanga Māori & Te Reo would be an advantage.

If you're proficient with a computer, comfortable learning new technology, multi skilled, flexible and adaptable, have a great telephone manner, are willing to reach out to smokers and want to work in a fun and vibrant contact centre where you can develop and learn new skills, then this job is for you!

Hours of work include morning and evening and Sunday shifts as well as split shifts and shift combination options.
