Systems/Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Systems/Database Administrator to take responsibility for the performance, integrity and security of the various systems and technologies managed by our IT team, with a particular focus on managing our CRM database.

This is an opportunity to be involved in a number of diverse IT projects and join an innovative organisation currently embarking on a programme of IT change and development.

To be successful in this challenging role you will need;

  • A degree or a qualification in computer science or Information Technology
  • A demonstrated background as a Database Administrator
  • Proven skills in database/application server support and/or applications development roles.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills
  • Experience with RDBMS, preferably SQL-Server
  • Well developed communication skills, both written and oral
  • Non-smoker for at least 6 months

Senior Advisor, Māori

  • Leadership role in developing quit smoking initiatives for Māori
  • Working for a high performing charitable trust
  • Wellington based

Do you want to make a difference to the smoking rates among Maori? If so, this may be the role for you.

This role will provide leadership in the maintenance and implementation of the organisation's Maori Service Development Policy which aims to reduce smoking rates amongst Maori. To be successful in this role you will have a sound understanding of the complexities of working in a whole of population health work environment. Being a non-smoker and with experience working in public health or tobacco control you will contribute to increased smoking cessation rates among Maori.

You will bring to this position demonstrated skills in relationship management and networking in the public health. Ideally you will have a thorough understanding of the health issues facing Maori, as well as experience in strategic planning. In addition you will demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of the Public Health environment
  • Knowledge of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Leadership skills
